Mid / end 09 I can resume that there are pro’s and con’s when it comes to mold surfaces and aluminum.
In professional environments special primers are used. I dont have this special paint and no compressor and spray gun. I any case the sanded area has to be cleaned with alcohol before bonding.

After the Epoxy has been dried screw them together. Double check that all sides are 90°
Now take the package to your carpenter and let him cut the curve out for you. Don’t try to do that at home with a jigsaw. It will not work. Your mold will look like a propeller afterwards.
