The ToxicWave combines a surfboard-based outline with the advantages of a twin tip stance. You can ride the tail backwards in order to go through the line up, but you will ride on a full rounded, TUE rail and lifted nose. A perfect balance for onshore conditions!
In the RRD collection for the 4th year, the ToxicWave is a hybrid wave board, meaning it has a tail and a nose like a directional board, but you can keep your feet in the same position like in a twin tip board and use the tail and the nose to wave-ride. This ability is thanks to a three-fin configuration and pronounced rockerline on the tail; while the nose has two fins, a classic scoop in the front and a recess that allows it to cut the water when it’s used as a tail.
The reduced thickness of the toxic wave allows for a very low volume between that of a twin tip and wave board. This thickness increases floating ability while wave riding, and the addition of thinner rails gives added control when the full rail is used. Overall, the thinner rails and slightly thicker middle create a perfect cross-over between a surfboard and a twin tip board.
The new version, ToxicWave 2, was created with a different outline and rocker line, more suitable for lighter winds and smaller surf. A solid sign of proven performance with a new concept.
